Hi Beverly and everyone!
I used Soy milk for a while then now I just try to use organic milk and butter, meats also, I had so much gas! The doctor told me I had a lactose intolerance, I started eating alot of wheat bread! I aslo started loosing weight like crazy, I thought I was going to loose my mind. When my symptoms were the worse I had anxiety, mood swings, not sleeping well, feeling like a blow torch was running accross my feet, bleeding like crazy, crashing fatique that came out of nowhere! I felt like someone or something was inside my body taking over! Some women gain weight some loose some don't have either problem, it was so bad going to work, you're already anxious and people are staring at you and then telling you how bad you look. Then one doctor sees something on your test that doesn't look right, then it was one test after the other. IF it had not been for the LORD I would have lost it, I had my friends praying for me. Eat sweet potatoes, they are wonderful they help with the crashing fatigue I had, I could eat one and in about 30 minutes I couldn't believe how much better I felt. Pray, pray pray, cry out to God, he cares, men and doctors don't understand, even at work, after going through all that, my boss tried to say that my "job performance" just wasn't up to par and I was going to have to do better! The Lord sees, he knows how hard we try to do the right thing, you know the Bible says, we should do everything as we are doing it unto the Lord for we are. That means when you are a child of God, you do your best and don't worry about what people say, it is what he thinks that counts in the end. I have a friend that gave me a cd from the Rev Ed Montgomery, I love it, it is on healding, I listen to it every night before bed, it is so soothing. Go to church and get into the word. We have to get some knowledge, understanding and wisdom, the word says
"My people die from lack of knowledge." With HIM it doesn't have to be that way. thanks

Found this via ezinearticles. . .
Just thought I would post a little on how True Acupuncture can help menopause.

Generally speaking, most women suffer from an instability of the endocrine system which reflects in the radial pulses as a yang deficiency or instability thus, treatment of yin deficiency is useless but this is often the approach for many TCM practitioners because the education doesn't teach much about regulation of the endocrine system via acupuncture.

Acupuncture or rather True Acupuncture according to Morant, is far more effective at treating menopause symptoms than herbs or anything else I've seen. The problem is, most don't use this style of acupuncture because TCM is the predominate educational system for acupuncture in the US. If you want to know more about this style you can check out acupuncture-n-herbs.com/menopause-acupuncture-n-herbs

The practitioner at the site has studied Morant and his teachings about True Acupuncture which is far different than TCM acupuncture.

Anyway, good article!

can you suggest things from people who cant take fish oil, dairy, or soy?

i have dairy/mily intolerance and will get ill with soy milk, & dairy. can't take fish cause i always choke to death on tiny fish bones and it tastes horrible. fish oil capsules wont work because they're so huge i choke on them and have to call 911 and they dont sell tiny ones.

i need replacements for these as i'm sure may are in the same boat as me.

Jenny -

I wrote an article and posted it to this blog a while ago which covered the difference between pre (or peri ) menopause, and menopause.

If you copy and paste the link below into your browser it should help clarify things.

I am 50 and was just told I am Menopausal when I went in for a pap test. I haven't had a period since Oct 06. The Dr. said she was sure I didn't need birth control anymore, but she would have me take a blood test to "prove" on paper to my doubting husband. The RLB FSH was
57 mIU/mL. I can't find reference to this test anywhere. Is it conclusive, after turning 50, and not having a period for 7 months, combined with these test results means that there is NO way for me to get pregnant?
I can only find info stating that one year after not having a period means you will not get pregnant. I don't want to take birth control pills "to be sure"--I just want to know
